They have a first registered, first choice in booths system in place this year, so MUCH less likely that we'll be put in the back. The rates go up at the end of December.
I don't really want to do it all by myself, as it's a lot of money for just me, and my underbusts and assorted stuff wouldn't really fill the whole booth (either 350 or 450, it's a bit unclear on the website), plus electricity. One 10x10 booth comes with three passes.
For those who don't know, Saturday Sept. 27th (a week and a half from now) is OLOTEAS' Concentric Circles festival in Redmond. There's no cost to vend, just show up and put out your stuff. This is probably their biggest open event of the year, lots of people, lots of interesting things going on, (a clothing-optional pool and hot tub!), a good time even if you don't want to sell stuff.
I'm not sure how much (if any) coordination, etc I'll be up to - at this point I'll be lucky if I manage to show up with anything more than my print portfolio - but if anyone wants to borrow a tent or other supplies, let me know.
I have 2 cases of bottled water for the people working the booth, 2 samll tables in case we need them, fairy lights, extension cords and my display stuff. Is there anything else?
Since the stich 'n bitch at the Freeple house was canceled Shawna and I find ourselves with no plans for Friday night, therefore we would like to open our place to craftyness and hanging out, starting about 5:30. Crash space is available if needed, feel free to bring munchies to share, but please no munchies of death! (death = nuts, peanuts and fish)
Hey all, I just finally got my hands on the WWKIP date for this year: 2nd Saturday in June is June 14th.
So far the only Washington WWKIP event is being held at Crossroads mall in Redmond/Bellevue by the Eastside Knitters Guild. I was wondering if we wanted to have our own KIP event that day? Could be fun... let me know what y'all think.
I'm trying to figure out how many people are going to the Festival this weekend because I have some severe housecleaning with a short deadline, and I have to get this done. I also have nothing ready to sell by next weekend.
Unless I'm really needed, I must choose to bow out of this festival.
Please let me know, and thank you for your understanding.
